A down light, also known as a recessed light or can light, is a type of light fixture which is installed inside a ceiling. When installed it appears to have light shining from a hollow opening in the ceiling, concentrating the light in a downward direction. Different reflectors, lenses, shutters, and light bulbs etc. can be utilized to achieve different lighting effects. As down lights don't occupy room space, they can help reduce space pressure and create a warm feeling. Therefore, downlights are commonly used in supermarket, hotel, entrance of hall, office, cafe, hospital, fashion shop, airport, laboratory, subway, as well as other indoorapplications.
